Product Description
Fuel cells are electrochemical energy conversion devices that convert hydrogen and oxygen into water, producing electricity and heat in the process and providing fuel efficiency and reductions in pollutants. Demand for this technology is growing rapidly. Fuel cells are being commercialized for stationary and portable electricity generation, and as a replacement for internal combustion engines in automobiles. Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cells in particular… More >>

This is a good book about the concepts behind PEM fuel cells, but it doesn’t do that great of a job on explaining a lot of the basic requirements of fuel cell design. It’s excellent for PEM coverage, but IMO it assumes that the reader has a thorough understanding of basic FC knowledge.

This is a great read and it covers all the basics of PEM fuel cells. I work at a fuel cell company designing fuel cells and systems. This book should be owned by every fuel cell designer. It covers both fundamentals and practical aspects of fuel cells quite well. This also would be great for students looking to learn the fundamentals of PEM fuel cells as I used it countless times when working on my thesis. This book is worth every penny.
