- On-board fuel cell power device no batteries required!
Product Description
Witness the power of new energy technology in the palm of your hand. Thats right – this car does not need batteries! The car uses a real fuel cell and its own on-board hydrogen storage system. Use this accessory to fuel the H-racer with an unlimited supply of clean energy. To create free hydrogen fuel at the flick of a switch, just add water to the stations tank! H-Racer & Hydrogen Fuel Station The car did not work. I bought for my 10 year old grandson to encourage his learning about alternative fuel vehicles and to have fun with it. However, his parents were unable to get the car to work and the two pages of directions about how to deal with difficulties was more like a high school chemistry experiment than directions for a toy for children. I think that the information for this toy should have made clear that it was very complicated and probably not really a toy, but rather a science project.

Bought this for my son who is 30 and a licensed mechanic for Christmas. Brought back the memories of Christmases long ago when we played with toys all day. Interesting concept though i would not recommend this for children per say but a child that is maybe science /mechanic oriented. Now if only we could get our cars to run on distilled water!
ps-do need aa batteries if there is no solar power avabiable but since we live in Arizona no issue!

Well built and documented scale model that uses 2 PEM fuel cells to make hydrogen from electricity, and back again to drove a model car.
Great learning experience for a young person, and a nice easy way to try a PEM fuel cell which are likely to find more applications in the future.
Fuel cells are unlikely to be found in full size automobiles ever due to the 5 miracles that seem unlikely to all happen. This kit is a great way to explore the real potential of PEM fuel cells.

This is a great car. The kids love this car, too. We are interested in the hydrogen theory and find this very interesting.
