I bought this as a gift for my nephew for Christmas. He was thrilled to receive it since he has an unsatiable appetite for anything science. He put it together easily and can’t wait to learn even more about fuel cell technology. My sister homeschools her children and was thankful to have this teaching tool for her children.

The model kit works well – will run for about 10 minutes on one “charge” of gas. This is not a kit for small children by any means – there are small parts and some parts are a bit fragile. The instruction book is good as a springboard to inquiry and for history, but is short on experiments – that’s what the more expensive kit is for.
We originally put this kit together for a science fair/green expo and it had kids fascinated. If you’re interested in learning about alternative power, there is some meat here for you.
