The initial invention of water fuel cells caught a great deal of attention. The idea that we could run our vehicles on water instead of gas or diesel was a huge concept, and one that wasn’t embraced perhaps as well as it needed to be. Water fuel cells are based on a technology that would transfer power first through water as a conductive unit and then break apart in a combustion like process to give the engine hydrogen to run one while the oxygen would be released harmlessly into the air. The scientific implications of such a design would be life changing for all of us, and science has not yet offered us a chance to embrace this technology.
